Advent Candles

As we enter the season of Advent, we want to express our deep appreciation to Nativity Catholic Church, Food for the Poor, the Eglise Methodiste d’Haiti, the Depestre Family Foundation, the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church, Hope Hospital, West Springfield High School, Aspen Martin and her parents, Walter and Dawn Martin, and our generous donors for all that was done to make possible the acquisition and shipping of musical instruments, sheet music, uniforms, robes and other items for use at the Centre of Musical Formation on the Freres campus in Petionville, Haiti.  It is good to know that the shipment arrived safely in Cap Haitian and will soon be delivered in PAP.

This was an ecumenical/community-based act of shared generosity that will make such a difference in the lives of those who presently lead, as well as future leaders, of music in Haitian schools and churches for years to come.  It has been an honor to work with you.

As we anticipate the blessings of Christmas, this effort stands out as something special.  We have felt God’s hand upon us throughout the process.

Our prayers now are for the peace of Haiti and abundant living for all!

Blessings to all of you in the love of Christ Jesus,

Rev. Dr. Jack Martin
